This is a pickup soccer game that was happening on a court in the city of León. The guy in black is Edwardo, a new friend of mine who is an English teacher at the Alianza Americana Language School. The mural behind them depicts the 1956 student demonstration and government sponsored masacre that happened in León. The soldiers doing the killing were backed and armed by the United States…
