Melvin Eating Some Trash

The island of Utila has a bad case of crabs. Not the promiscuous backpacker type, but the large hard-shelled variety you sometimes eat. But don’t eat Melvin, he’s an island gutter crab. While some cities have a sewer-rat problem, Utila has a sewer-crab problem. These guys hang out in the street gutters all day eating trash.

    I’m sure I’ve had crab cakes made of that kind of crab. It was down south, N. Carolina or Florida I believe. Tasted them for days after I ate them.
