Daily Travel Photo: Inside an Active Volcano Crater
This is a shot from inside the active crater of Volcano Cerro Negro in Nicaragua. It’s the youngest volcano in Central America at only 161 years old. Yet it’s unusually active, having already erupted 23 times in it’s short lifetime. The last major eruption was in 1999.

One more picture of that volcano and I’m sending in photos of family vacations.
This is the first picture I’ve posted of Cerro Negro. Central America has many volcanoes.
Wonderful is not having an eruption while you were there. Photo is really lovely.
Wow, that blue sky is amazing. I can’t believe that volcano is only 160 years old! I had no idea that any volcano existed that is so young. Maybe this will come up on trivia sometime.
Matt you’re doing awesome, I’m kinda with “The Curmudgeon” I thought it was the same one too. LOL Stay safe
