Daily Travel Photo: Gang of Colorful Red Macaws

Tegucigalpa Honduras Red Macaw

Gang of Red Macaws

I had to change busses on my trip from Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Leon, Nicaragua. We stopped at a little station & restaurant in the middle of nowhere to wait for the next bus. These red Macaws were chilling outside on a table. I sat down and had a beer with them.

You shouldn’t be drinking with the townies, it’s for the birds. Nice to see something that’s not in a cage.

Is that what a group of Macaws is called — a “gang”? I know groups of animals have strange names (i.e., gaggle of geese, etc.). Too funny! They really are beautiful. I hope your gang enjoyed cocktail hour as much as you! :)
