Rio Celeste Waterfall

Welcome to paradise! This is the magical view I was rewarded with after a pleasant jungle hike through Tenorio Volcano National Park in Costa Rica. The giant Rio Celeste waterfall comes crashing down 90 ft (30m) from the trees above into a pool of unbelievable turquoise blue water.

More on my experience here soon…

It’s the volcanic minerals in the rocks underneath that give the water a crazy blue color. :)

So, big deal. When my septic tank overflows I also get the same effect – with fragrance too. It’s not quite turquoise, but those are just details. I sit in a lounge chair with my straw hat, flowered shirt, thong, and a umbrella drink. My neighbors complain about my thong, but they are only neighbors. Neighbors usually have some issue. What would make it a complete experience (adventure), would be a local CIGAR, RUM or WHISKEY. Of course I have none. Now we see the “Good Life” is swimming with sharks and crocodiles, tempting volcanoes and staying in strange places. Dancing wildly, beating drums, making doo doo ovens, and taking one man Easy Rider trips. What happened to sneaking your parents beer? Good old American stuff. It is almost July 4th. Where is your flag? It’s not to late to repent. Sinners need to send cigars.

Wow, it is like 90 degrees with 100% humidity here in Chicago. Would love to take a dip in that pool right now.

That is my kind of place, I much rather be at your waterfall, then your Dad’s septic tank. Looks like pure paradise.

Yup, you can swim here. The area right under the waterfall is turbulent, so just be careful. No lifeguards out here. :)
