Cathedral of Granada at Night [PHOTO]

Granada Nicaragua Cathedral

Granada Town Square & Cathedral

This is the town square of Granada, Nicaragua. The sun is just starting to rise in the background. While the scene may look tranquil & inviting, what you don’t see are all the homeless people & prostitutes spending the night out-of-frame on both sides. Sometimes one photo doesn’t tell the whole story! :)

Unfortunately it’s expats from the US buying property here that causes a rise in prices, which locals are unable to afford, leading to increasing amounts of homelessness & prostitution… So moving here would make the problem worse! :)

I mean the building. Just big enough for a Family Christmas Jubilee. Big enough so when the Auntie’s get in a “you know what” match, I can hide. Big enough for Lindsay and her chickens. Big enough to smoke CIGARS in. Big enough to go streaking in and not be seen. Rent it for Xmas.

Thanks Mac. It was super quiet that early in the morning. A tranquil place. It was sad seeing all the homeless kids wake up in the park though, sleeping on cardboard mats.

The picture of this Cathedral is mesmerizing. I love waking up before sun rise so that I can view it. I like the message you have put up with this image. It is true sometimes one photo does not tell us the whole story.

Great night shot, but I found the starbursts distracting. Do you have a version without the small aperture diffraction? It would be interesting to compare the two.
